 On Sunday Faughan Valley hosted a charity open with visiting golfers from the area helping to make it a successful day for age concern. The winner on the day was 5 handicapper Paul Duffy with a score of 41, second spot was decided on a BOT between 16 handicapper Scott Somers and 26 handicapper Stephen Lunn both carding 39 points with Scott taking second spot. The Gross went to Trevor Peace with 84, the winner of the front nine was Geoff Bratton with 21 points playing off 16, and 25 handicapper took the back nine with 20points.

In the ladies competition the winner was 28 handicapper Jackie McNulty with 38 points, and second was Ann McGoldrick with 34 points playing off a handicap of 28.
