4. Scoring of your Scorecard - In view of concerns around handling and exchanging scorecards during the Corona Virus Pandemic Faughan Valley Golf Council have introduced a temporary Local Rule to allow the scoring in stroke play that does not strictly comply with Rule 3.3b,ie; returning of scorecard in a stroke Competition

Players MUST enter their own scores on their scorecard (it is not necessary for a marker to do it). Although some form of verbal certification should take place.(At the rear of the 18th Green or at least prior to players leaving the Club Car Park)

It will not be necessary to physically return a scorecard to the Committee as the Club Competition Committee now accept the score from the Member by inputting their score on "Master Scoreboard”

(In accordance with this guidance, The R&A’s view is that, at this time, the above methods for scoring are acceptable under the Rules and any scores submitted using this method will be acceptable for handicapping purposes.)
